Mostrar el registro completo del ítemSinopsis: | The Hispaniolan Conure (Aratinga chloroptera) is a noisy, green conure native to the island of Hispaniola (Haiti and the Dominican Republic) and formerly Mona Island. While it inhabits various habitats, most individuals are found in mountainous regions. Its plumage is predominantly green with red outermost underwing coverts, bend of wing, and edge of forewing. The greater underwing coverts are green with red markings, and some birds display a few red feathers on their heads. The underside of the tail and flight feathers is olive yellow.
