Abstract	A new subspecies, Turdus swalesi dodae. is described from the Sierra de Neiba and Cordillera Central of the Dominican Republic. The arid Cul-de-Sac Valle de Neiba depression forms a barrier between T. s. swalesi of the Massif de la Selle and Sierra de Bahoruco and T. s. dodae.	es
