SinopsisThis book describes the situation of urban water management in 20 countries: all North and South American ones, and a significant number from Central America and the Caribbean region. it covers, for the first time, in an integrated but flexible framework aspects never looked at before in urban water management on the American continent. Among those are water quality, water reuse, urban aquifers, rainwater management, urban floods, human and environmental health issues, and, of course, climate change. Through this multidirectional orientation, the book reveals that the challenges for urban water security extend to cities in all countries.es
