AbstractHighlights: Rapid primary forest loss in Hispaniola was observed using Landsat time series. Disturbance and resilience were considered in classifying primary forest. We compared the primary forest changes between Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Fire and tree-cutting were the major drivers of primary forest loss in Hispaniola.es
