SinopsisThe thesis explores the use of mobile technology as a tool to foster recycling habits among children. Conducted at the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2019, the study addresses the challenges of waste management in the Dominican Republic by targeting younger generations to instill environmentally conscious behaviors. The research focuses on the development and implementation of a mobile application designed to educate and engage children through interactive activities, gamification, and incentives. By leveraging digital platforms, the project aims to raise awareness about the importance of recycling and its impact on the environment, while also encouraging active participation in sustainable practices. The findings highlight the potential of technology to influence behavioral change in younger audiences and propose the application as a scalable model for promoting environmental education in similar contexts worldwide.es
