Abstract: | In 2019, an urban-rural integration project was designed in the province of Santiago, Dominican Republic, which incorporates a commitment to strengthen the provincial public operator CORAASAN in a field, rural, in which its presence had been limited. This document presents the intervention strategy for the improvement of the rural water and sanitation service that was designed specifically for the project, as well as the methodology followed for its preparation, the challenges that had to be overcome in the process, and the main lessons learned.
