SinopsisThe behavior of S. paradoxus was reviewed by Dr. Erna Mohr (1936-38). Since her series of papers, however, much more has been learned concerning the behavior of not only the solenodon but also the insectivores of the families Tenrecidae and Soricidae. The authors of this study further describe in detail the major features of the solenodon's behavior patterns and to interpret them within a much broader theoretical context than was possible thirty years prior to the research. Initial studies of sound recordings of Solenodon were conducted when Gould worked under the direction of Dr. Alvin Novick of Yale University.es
