We hope that it will contribute to fostering the fundamental shift in the way drought is perceived and managed in the Caribbean and we reiterate FAO’s continued support to the countries of the region for the development and implementation of national drought management policies consistent with their development objectives. This report reviews information on drought characteristics and management in the Caribbean region, identifies the relevant national and regional agencies and focal points involved in drought management, and brings together information on their work at national and regional level. |
