With the right measures in place, variable sources like solar and wind can be smoothly integrated into the grid, and the country can tap into its vast potential for renewables in the heating, cooling and transport sectors. The key actions outlined in this report can help accelerate the energy transition. Moreover, the experience of the Dominican Republic can provide useful lessons for other island nations seeking to achieve sustainable energy future. |
