Abstract	Varias zonas rocosas del parque Mirador Sur (Santo Domingo, República Dominicana) serán dejadas intactas para recuperar el hábitat de reptiles como el hurón y la culebra. Con la iniciativa se pretende mantener y propiciar el control biológico natural del parque; aún está pendiente contabilizar y categorizar los árboles del parque. Desde el 2005 al 2011 se han cortado alrededor de 1,500 plantas invasoras y sembrado entre 15,000 a 20,000 árboles nativos y endémicos.	es
