But in 2022, scientists split them into two distinct species after discovering key differences in their size, shape, and colors. The Emerald is smaller, has a straight beak, and a green belly. The Mango, on the other hand, is larger, has a longer, slightly curved beak, a sleek, black underside, and a flashier tail.
