Abstract	In publishing CARICOMP - Caribbean Coral Reef, Seagrass and Mangrove Sites, UNESCO's intent is to draw attention to a network which has been successful in monitoring the state of these three critical coastal ecosystems. The systems under study are vital to the continuing health of the biosphere and crucial for the sustainable development of coastal countries, particularly in the tropical belt.	es
