Monitoring progress of the environmental cooperation agenda in the CAFTA-DR countries : first evaluation report

Abstract

The first report assesses the implementation of environmental commitments under the Central America-Dominican Republic-United States Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR). The report reviews progress in promoting sustainable development, strengthening environmental governance, and addressing shared ecological challenges among member nations. It highlights advancements in capacity building, biodiversity conservation, pollution control, and legal enforcement of environmental standards.
