AbstractThe Circular Economy (CE) is an emerging issue in modern society and many countries have not yet fully implemented this concept. The Dominican Republic (DR) is not the exception. The concept has been inserted into the national discourse in the past four years or so, linked to the topics of solid waste management, cleaner production, and resources recovery. These topics do not fully encompass the Circular Economy aim of transforming economic systems to address global sustainability issues such as climate change but can be considered as initial steps. This report explores the main opportunities for Dutch companies in implementing Circular Economy businesses in the DR.es
