Enhancing climate resilience in San Cristóbal Province, Dominican Republic : Integrated Water Resources Management and Rural Development Program : mid-term evaluation

Abstract

This document presents the mid-term evaluation of the "Enhancing Climate Resilience in the Province of San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic, Integrated Water Resources Management and Rural Development Program". The program aims to increase the resilience and adaptive capacity to climate impacts and risks on the water resources of rural communities in the province of San Cristóbal, and to improve access to drinking water and sanitation services for communities that are currently vulnerable due to the lack of aqueducts. It aims to increase climate resilience by contributing to the conservation of water sources through reforestation activities in line with proper land use planning. The program (or San Cristobal Adaptation Program - PASC) is being implemented by the Dominican Institute for Integral Development (IDDI) as the national implementing agency, together with its implementing partners, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MIMARENA) and the National Institute of Drinking Water and Sanitation (INAPA).
