SinopsisCaribbean Endemic Bird Festival (CEBF) day 22 poster, dedicated to the Antillean Euphonia, a colorful, small bird of the Fringillidae family. It has a remarkable variety of melodious calls and jumbled songs that includes sharp whistles whee, trilling, tinkling notes tuc-tuc-tuc, and a hard metallic chi-chink, hence it’s Latin specific name musica. It is endemic to the islands of Hispaniola, Puerto Rico and much of the Lesser Antilles (Antigua south to Grenada, absent from Barbados). These three areas host three distinct subspecies and some authorities even consider them separate species. The three subspecies differ in color, as well as the size of the beak and tail. As a complement to the poster, a coloring sheet is included.es
