AbstractOur primary goals at the onset of this project were to investigate sources and methods for developing a water balance using readily available remotely sensed satellite data and verified with available field data. Our pilot locations for this water balance model was the Yuna River Watershed, the largest watershed on Hispaniola and the Dominican Republic covering an area of 5498 square kilometers or 5.5 billion square meters.es
