Abstract

This newsletter reports on activities and results from the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) programme, implemented by the Caribbean Natural Resources Institute (CANARI), sharing lessons learnt and best practices. Includes articles about the innovative projects that CEPF grantees are implementing, the exciting biodiversity conservation results being achieved in the region as well as related projects and initiatives. The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) is a joint programme of l'Agence Française de Développement, Conservation International, the Global Environment Facility, the Government of Japan, the MacArthur Foundation and the World Bank. The programme was launched in August 2000 and since then, supported civil society to conserve critical biodiversity in 20 hotspots, committing over US$ 131 million in grants. CEPF invested US$ 6.9 million in the Caribbean islands during a five-year period (October 2010 – October 2015).
